GENERAL TASTING NOTES:<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

AHA TORO<\/strong> is a fine example of a solid, basic, highlands tequila.\u00a0 Look for intense floral notes and an especially herbaceous nose on the blanco.\u00a0 It\u2019s a thick, gummy, brew.\u00a0 Th\u2019 Lip<\/strong> was especially drawn to the blanco\u2019s finish which was long lasting and had a very pleasing spice component.\u00a0 The anejo (which is the only age of this brand that is TAHONA<\/strong>-ground) added a lot more complexity to its flavor profile.\u00a0 But ultimately the way the French Oak barrel aging of the anejo (and especially the repo) was handled didn\u2019t hold Lippy\u2019s<\/strong> attention long enough.\u00a0 This anejo seemed to be a single-session sipper.\u00a0 That is, one glass, then on to the next brand.\u00a0 While this isn\u2019t a BAD anejo, it just doesn\u2019t compete with some other aged tequilas that have A LOT to say, and keep up the conversation glass after glass.<\/p>\n
