In this episode Th\u2019 Lip<\/strong> gets SCHOOLED by the chat room about Milagro\u2019s<\/strong> distillery (NOM) change and he\u2019s shocked, but excited, that his Chat-Army of \u201cLipsters\u201d <\/strong>are knowledgeable and nerd-ified<\/strong> enough to know that Milagro’s<\/strong> manufacturer has changed!\u00a0 This info caught Lippy<\/strong> napping, so watching his amazement-recovery-appreciation for YOU<\/strong>, the Fan, is humbling and a real window into the mindset that is \u2013 Th\u2019 Lip! <\/strong> Learn all about the brand whose distribution spread is rivaled only by the mighty \u201cJoe Cuervo\u201d himself!!<\/p>\n

GENERAL TASTING NOTES:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Milagro silver <\/strong>is a textbook example of the library of tastes and flavor profiles that define a highlands tequila.\u00a0 You\u2019ll find spiky alcohol spices, a big \u201cfloral\u201d cloud and a lot of herbaceous notes in this unaged tequila.\u00a0 But don\u2019t look for subtlety or a complex balance.\u00a0 Milagro<\/strong> silver has all of these flavors turned up to \u201c11\u201d on the dial and they\u2019re not interested in your sensitive palate.\u00a0 They all scream in unison, and if you can\u2019t take the volume, then too bad for YOU!\u00a0 The reposado<\/strong> brings a watery addition of *some* wood notes, but they\u2019re quite buried in the mix of flavors.\u00a0 Lippy<\/strong> found himself searching for a more singular statement in the repo and never found one.\u00a0 The anejo<\/strong> brings a lot more of the wooded notes that were only hinted at in the repo, but the balance and complexity of the flavors don\u2019t reward any deep inspection.\u00a0 This anejo is a great (and inexpensive) tequila to bring to parties and lay on \u201cNewbies\u201d<\/strong> who will relish in its sweet and smooth notes.\u00a0 For the rest of us, stick to the under $20 silver for a sipper in a pinch and a Margarita standard for sure!<\/p>\n
