NOTES:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s difficult not to be impressed with <strong>German\u2019s<\/strong> newest venture, <strong>Tequila Uno<\/strong>.\u00a0 <strong>Th\u2019 Lip<\/strong> dubs <strong>German,<\/strong> <em>\u201cThe King of Balance\u201d<\/em> as his tequilas feature many enjoyable taste notes but none outreach any others in the flavor mix.\u00a0 Even though the mighty agave flavors are present to a high degree in all of the t1 variants don\u2019t expect to be bowled over by them.\u00a0 That\u2019s not his style.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tequila Uno<\/strong> is ready-made for the American palate.\u00a0 There is virtually no bite, and even in the higher-proofed, <strong>Maduro<\/strong> the alcohol spikes on the mid-palate become an integrated component of the profile.\u00a0 Look for a lingering lightness on the<strong> Ultra Fino<\/strong> blanco.\u00a0 You\u2019ll feel the presence of the agave taste but without a chewy invitation to roll it over in the mouth.\u00a0 Also appreciate a lingering finish on the <strong>blanco<\/strong> which becomes more present in the <strong>Excepcional reposado<\/strong>.\u00a0 Aged up to a year in Scotch barrels, the <strong>Excepcional <\/strong>will thrill you with its warm throat-massage finish.\u00a0 This is another signature detail of <strong>Sr. Gonzalez\u2019 <\/strong>work: a fascinating ability to produce a sensual \u201cmassaging\u201d finish in the mid-throat!<\/p>\n<p>As for the mighty <strong>Maduro blanco<\/strong>, <strong>Th\u2019 Lip<\/strong> was mightily pleased by the added alcohol factor and was tickled (literally) at how the heat spikes interplayed with the added agave notes.\u00a0 Even in this more \u201cfuerte\u201d variant of <strong>t1<\/strong>, <strong>German<\/strong> showed his hand as a Master blender of balance because the agave steps up to the challenge of the increased alcohol and creates a huge, round and soft cloud of flavor that fulfills the promise that the <strong>Ultra Fino<\/strong> hints at.\u00a0 The <strong>Maduro<\/strong> will be a limited release, and will likely be on the higher end of your budget spectrum.\u00a0 If you are a fan of a bolder tequila which still maintains its class and balance then <strong>Lippy<\/strong> suggests starting out your <strong>t1<\/strong> journey with the <strong>Maduro<\/strong>.\u00a0 Looking for a tequila that you can bring to a party and thrill newbies who are eager to learn what the \u201cfuss\u201d over tequila is all about? Then don\u2019t hesitate to lovingly open an <strong>Ultra Fino<\/strong> or <strong>Excepcional<\/strong>.\u00a0 The ladies (and YOU) are sure to be pleased!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:
