Shake to combine and pour into tall Collins glass. Top with soda and add cr\u00e8me de cassis carefully so it sinks to bottom. Garnish with lime and serve. Sip while considering whether a hotel with bar and restaurant named after an architect who said himself that he didn\u2019t design it, can take credit for a drink from the 1930\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Bobby Lozoff\u2019s Trident Tequila Sunrise<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>1\u00bd ounces reposado tequila<\/p>\n<p>3 ounce fresh squeezed orange juice<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd ounce of Stirrings Authentic Grenadine<\/p>\n<p>1 Tilden Farms all natural maraschino cherry<\/p>\n<p>1 organic orange wheel<\/p>\n<p>Combine tequila and orange juice with ice in a fancy thistle glass (tulip shaped). Stir to combine. Add grenadine carefully so it sinks to bottom. Garnish with orange wheel and cherry. Sip with straw while blasting the Rolling Stones \u201cAll Down the Line\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Jeff Burkhart\u2019s Bolinas Sunset<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>1\u00bd ounces anejo tequila<\/p>\n<p>\u00be ounce Royal Combier liqueur<\/p>\n<p>\u00be ounce fresh lime<\/p>\n<p>\u00be ounce fresh squeezed orange juice<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc ounce Stirrings Authentic Grenadine<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc ounce Mathilde Cassis liqueur<\/p>\n<p>1 Tilden Farms all natural maraschino cherry<\/p>\n<p>Combine first four ingredients in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to combine. Pour mixture into double old fashioned glass. Carefully add first grenadine then cassis to create \u201csunset\u201d effect. Garnish with cherry and relax like you\u2019re in Bolinas.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Grenadine Recipe<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>2 or 3 pomegranates<\/p>\n<p>1 cup granulated sugar<\/p>\n<p>1 cup water<\/p>\n<p>Clean enough pomegranates to produce 1 scant cup of seeds (using surgical gloves is a good idea). Combine sugar, water and seeds in a non-reactive pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for twenty minutes. Strain through fine sieve to remove seeds and return liquid to pan. Continue to simmer until reduced to 1 cup. Allow to cool and refrigerate.
