NOTES:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Antiguo<\/strong> was always formulated to have a lighter touch than <strong>Herradura\u2019s <\/strong>standard line of premium tequilas.\u00a0 And it does live up to that reputation \u2013 In the best possible way.\u00a0 The<strong> blanco<\/strong> brings a lot of hearty spice and isn\u2019t shy about presenting the heat.\u00a0 What your <strong>Tequila Whisperer<\/strong> found immediately likeable was the lack of a sweet \u2018pineapple\u201d center that the standard <strong>Herradura blanco <\/strong>forces upon the palate.\u00a0 On the contrary, <strong>Antiguo\u2019s blanco<\/strong> (and all of the Antiguo line) has a fresh and clean light feel that speaks of its Valley heritage.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>reposado<\/strong> adds a thin load of sweet wood to the bottom of the flavor plank, and though it lacks a solid finish, the lighter touch still manages a sparking tang of alcohol.\u00a0 This combination of a lighter flavor coupled with the sweet spike of alcohol makes this <strong>repo<\/strong> a magnificent \u201cparty tequila\u201d\u2013 able to do double duty as a sipper (especially for newbies and ladies looking for a pleasing introduction) or as a mixer in a Paloma or Margarita.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a <strong>repo<\/strong> for less than <strong>$30<\/strong> that you can drink <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ALL NIGHT<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>anejo<\/strong> brought about more complex wood flavors, though without the sparkling spike of alcohol. \u00a0<strong>Th\u2019 Lip<\/strong> found this <strong>anejo<\/strong> a bit \u201cflaccid\u201d.\u00a0 It\u2019s a fine <strong>anejo<\/strong> for those liking a sweet touch without a lot of aggressive interest.\u00a0 But ultimately it was a bit too soft and not interesting enough for a second glass.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">RECOMMENDED BUY:<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Antiguo Reposado (&amp; anejo if you\u2019re REALLY looking for a sweeter, softer ride)<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=udP-iEu9soM\"
