four ages of this new brand in a full-palate workout with a surprised ending!\u00a0 There are so many new brands showing up at the door of the Man-Cave these days, and it\u2019s becoming a bit routine <\/strong>brings a solid highlands profile of spice and floral interest to all the ages of their tequilas.\u00a0 One of the big differentiators of the brand is their aging solely in new <strong>French oak <\/strong>barrels as opposed to the \u201cdefacto\u201d choice of aging in used<strong> American white oak<\/strong> bourbon barrels.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>blanco<\/strong> was a great ride of butter, spice and spiky heat.\u00a0 It left a pleasing trail of slight citrus and caramel-baked agave sugar.\u00a0 It also featured a great mouth feel.\u00a0 Very pleasing.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>reposado <\/strong>\u201cprotected\u201d the spice component of the<strong> blanco<\/strong> while adding the sweetness with a distinct slight vanilla fudginess inherent in <strong>French oak<\/strong>.\u00a0 This <strong>repo<\/strong> really grew on <strong>Th\u2019 Lip<\/strong> as it became a great template of complicated and balanced flavors.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>anejo <\/strong>took a side-trip away from the <strong>repo<\/strong> but not necessarily for the better.\u00a0 The mouth feel and overall flavor girth seemed to narrow and command less interest than the <strong>repo<\/strong>.\u00a0 Although the <strong>anejo<\/strong> brought a deeper wood-sweetness into play, it ultimately featured a sister bitter component which was not necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>extra anejo<\/strong> is aged 4 years in <strong>French <\/strong><strong> oak<\/strong> and is a marvel of deep sweet flavors and great balance.\u00a0 The nose features really pleasing mixes of cinnamon, butter, and sweet menthol.\u00a0 On the palate you\u2019ll find a thick and pleasing flavor ball which features more deep cinnamon, caramel and honey.\u00a0 A great and affordably complex <strong>XA!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">RECOMMENDED BUY:<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Montoro reposado (with a close
