TequilaFight Ver. 3.0: The Blanco Battle!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Welcome back, my friends, to the tasting that never ends!\u00a0 This time we\u2019re up for another blanco taste-off.\u00a0 We\u2019re pitting two middleweights against a relatively (to me, anyway) unknown.<\/p>\n

First up is the mystery brand: \u201c30-30\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"30-30\"<\/p>\n

100 % blue agave of course, but I don\u2019t know a whole lot more about him.<\/p>\n

Next in line is \u201cHerencia de Plata\u201d silver.<\/p>\n

\"HerenciaBlanco_01\"<\/p>\n

A quiet contender whom I HAVE heard a small bit about.. and most of it good.\u00a0 He\u2019s not so easily accessible, but whenever I\u2019ve read a few notes about his profile I get more and more intrigued.<\/p>\n

Lastly we have the phallic, \u201cChaya\u201d silver.<\/p>\n

\"ChayaSilver_01\"<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard not to notice THIS bad boy.\u00a0 His big blue bottle certainly gives him a top-rated \u201cshelf appeal\u201d.\u00a0 He\u2019s an easy pour, but I WILL say there is a bit of trepidation as I grip that solid blue package in my hands..\u00a0 (Am I liking him too much already?)<\/p>\n

OK!\u00a0 The battle is ON!<\/p>\n

I\u2019m circling the contenders looking for an opening.\u00a0 Which silver will afford me the sliver of an opening?\u00a0 I make my move.\u00a0 I\u2019m hurrying up to the 30-30.\u00a0 I will tell you straight off, 30-303.\u00a0 You\u2019re the least anticipated of the group, and I did sneak a small sniff when I poured you.\u00a0 I\u2019m confused about your capabilities.\u00a0 I cup you in hand and sniff:<\/p>\n

You\u2019re giving me a thin nose with a sharp alcohol attack.\u00a0 I\u2019m not noticing any appreciable amount of agave in your aroma.\u00a0 Will you open up your drawer of secrets for me, 30-30?\u00a0 One more sniff is all I can afford you.\u00a0 Make it count you cardboard-hearted mannequin!\u00a0 AH!\u00a0 A secret peppermint sweetness that I missed the first time!\u00a0 You coy, circular spirit!\u00a0 I will drink you and dream as you do a circular dance on my tongue.\u00a0 I am hoping for a sweet daydream\u2026<\/p>\n

Ugh.. a disappointment.\u00a0 30-30 I found NOTHING to taste!\u00a0 Did you quickly spirit yourself away and leave a hollow doppelganger in your place?\u00a0 There was a wisp of some burn seeping down the back of my throat.. but I can\u2019t count that as a taste.\u00a0 You\u2019re a strange and troubled child, 30-30.\u00a0 Your nose is actually more complex than your taste!\u00a0 Your guardian has dressed you but there\u2019s nothing underneath your garments!\u00a0 How can this be?\u00a0 I will forcibly take you and DEMAND some taste from you:<\/p>\n

NOTHING!\u00a0 I\u2019m experiencing a watery injustice every time I clench my epiglottis.\u00a0 30-30 you are the \u201cArchies\u201d of the puro set.\u00a0 No, you\u2019re even LESS impressive than that.\u00a0 I find no reason to drink you, 30-30.\u00a0 I may even leave your glass as it stands.. half-empty (horrors!).<\/p>\n

Allow me to wash some agua down to erase the watery insults I have been handed by the last ignoble contender.\u00a0 I have a temper rising and a storm brewing.\u00a0 That 30-30 has put me in a foul funk!<\/p>\n

Herencia.. I call your name!\u00a0 Will you show me a similar disrespect or will you present the full blossom of your promise?\u00a0 A sniff to introduce ourselves:<\/p>\n

You are a sweet, nutty, cinnamon confection, Herencia.\u00a0 I\u2019m getting a bright sunny afternoon on a secluded hilltop feeling.\u00a0 Are you bottling that sunshine?\u00a0 Will you give an inner glow after I\u2019ve tasted your soiled blades of grass?\u00a0 Ha!\u00a0 I\u2019m insulting you good-naturedly in the hopes that you\u2019ll be goaded into showing me your loudest sunny fa\u00e7ade!\u00a0 Open up you sinner!\u00a0 I\u2019m coming in for another sniff:<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not certain where you\u2019re coming from and where you\u2019re going to take me, Herencia.\u00a0 Your nose isn\u2019t SO forceful as to present an entire picture let alone a universe to me.\u00a0 I wonder\/hope: is there something beyond the shiny exterior you\u2019re presenting?\u00a0 I\u2019ll slurp you in an unjust manner:<\/p>\n

Peppery!\u00a0 You beautiful bastard!\u00a0 You are hiding a peppered SOUL in your mirrored overcoat of cinnamon and glass.\u00a0 I\u2019m staring into space.\u00a0 I\u2019m allowing your pepper to subside while I contemplate more sips from your tangy underbelly.\u00a0 I know you\u2019re secretly smiling, Herencia.\u00a0 You knew all along that you were packing something unexpected, yes?\u00a0 If you would do me the honor of another taste, I would be ever grateful and (this time) submissive:<\/p>\n

Floral!\u00a0 I felt you sneak just a fashion of floral notes into that last \u201cprofile\u201d.\u00a0 I\u2019m envisioning a gorgeous sunny hilltop covered with peppery blossoms and wildflower fantasias flirting at the corner of my eye.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know if I dare for a third taste my new friend.\u00a0 You have already taken me to a wonderful vantage point from which to ponder my next few life-moves.\u00a0 Am I asking too much for another vista?\u00a0 No matter!\u00a0 I DEMAND another taste as I have tamed you now and you belong inside me:<\/p>\n

Herencia, there is a subtle command in you that I respond to favorably.\u00a0 You are easily a worthy \u201cconversationalist\u201d but I wonder if I\u2019d grow tired of the same pastoral scene time after time?\u00a0 I long for a more complex discourse, my serene compadre.\u00a0 I will seek you out as long as your sale price fits within your status.<\/p>\n

A quick wash through, and I am clicking my teeth in anticipation of my solid blue stallion.\u00a0 Chaya, your thick bottle has given me the pour with the most girth.\u00a0 I respect your hearty load, and pray that it delivers a sensation equal to its manly heft.\u00a0 A sniff:<\/p>\n

Ohhh yes!\u00a0 I am reveling in a gummy, thick, agave musk.\u00a0 Chaya, do you have a \u201crock\u201d in your history?\u00a0 If so it would only be fitting for a Stallion of such engorged proportions.\u00a0 You have a wet and round nose profile, sir. I\u2019m smelling wet cement with peppery fruit. I am thoroughly engaged.\u00a0 I\u2019m stepping right up for my \u201cpunishment\u201d.\u00a0 Don\u2019t hold back on the taste \u2013 give it all to me in one thick blast:<\/p>\n

Wow!\u00a0 That was a lot of flavor, tongue action, and alcohol brandishment all at the same time.\u00a0 I like your complexity, Chaya!\u00a0 A quick rinse and I am game for another round:<\/p>\n

Damn, Chaya!\u00a0 You could go all night with your complex and piquing \u201cconversations\u201d couldn\u2019t you?\u00a0 You\u2019re the porn star of silvers. I think I\u2019ll try one more chewy taste of your sweet nectar, Chaya \u2013 hit it:<\/p>\n

Yes!\u00a0 Ha ha!\u00a0 That was a great mouthful of thick peppery washes.\u00a0 Whew!\u00a0 What did you say your name was, stranger?<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not embarrassed about handling your attentive phallic package if you don\u2019t gloat over my lack thereof.\u00a0 I am yours for the evening, Chaya.\u00a0 I can see that you and I will be having plenty to talk about over the years.\u00a0 Teach me to stand tall.<\/p>\n
