Republic blanco, reposado, anejo (episode 27) tequila review

Yee-Haw! This episode is a non-stop “Texas Twister!”

Th’ Lip plays host to all manner of Texas-centric music while breaking down the flavor profile on Lone Star newcomer brand, “Republic Tequila”. It’s a really high-energy show with lots of side trips down dusty alleyways and forgotten desert plains.

“Republic” is distilled at the famed “La Quemada” organic fabrica, where Lippy has actually partied with the Charros and Rancheros! People – Do NOT miss this informative travelogue of Texas, Mexico, and the occasional foray into the secret mind of your Lip-eroooo!

NOM: 1457

Republic features a very sharp and tingling attack throughout all of its ages. Lippy was pleasantly surprised to find the anejo bringing even more of a “fuerte” attack on the palate than the blanco! A rare and special occurrence in an anejo! Though not a thick and “chewy” tequila overall, its balance is quite pleasing and welcome. You’re going to want to examine this brand closely, Friends. Make amigos with your “Republic” house-guest — you’ll thank us later.

  1. I’m taking a moment to check back over the ‘grades’ for Republic tequila and I’m totally enjoying “Texas Twister” by Little Feat and “If It’s The Last Thing I Do” by Joe Kubek Band. Enjoyed them both!

And the Republic tequila is interesting. Which age was your favorite Lippy?
